St. Terrible EPK

Bio

Zach Herbert, known as St. Terrible, is a musician and performance artist based out of Boise, ID. His shows combine music that varies from experimental folk to ambient minimalism, with forms of storytelling and performance art mixed throughout. A multi-instrumentalist, live-looper, and passionate improviser, St. Terrible works both solo and in collaboration to create emotionally rich experiences. He incorporates guitar, keys, and even horns into his solo set along with vocals that move from ethereal to guttural. St. Terrible's live shows are enveloping, deeply moving, and ever-changing, and always aim to explore the deeper edges of the human experience.

From 2016 - 2018, Herbert worked in tandem with a group of artists, incorporating dance, theater and installation art to create immersive performance experiences like "The Gospel of Nothingness" and "The Shrine". In 2018, Herbert was accepted to the Building 180/Agapolis artist in residency program where he began developing a solo music act that incorporated elements of music therapy and emotional process work. In 2020, Herbert released "An Endless Fiction", a short music film inspired by his own struggles with mental health. This project earned him a United States Artists Fellowship nomination in the same year. Since then, Herbert has released another short film/music project called “Sleepless” in 2025, crafted an ongoing contemplative music series with a non-profit based out out of Idaho and participated in artist residencies in Spain and NYC.
